Mayfield United is committed to implementing standards and policies that ensure the best interests of children within the club take paramount importance. We believe that football should mean fun for all. In order to implement this belief, we aim to provide all our of players with a service that is fun, develops life skills, boosts personal growth and instigates new and life-long friendships.

It is the duty of all adults involved within the club to promote and adhere to best practice policies and standards that have been developed to protect our children. As a community organisation, we are aware of the responsibilities that we hold to children and young people who are in our care.

We constantly strive to improve our child welfare and player safety standards. This involves annual reviews and continuous monitoring of current policies and procedures. We have developed a Safeguarding Statement and conducted a Risk Assessment, both of which are available to view below.

Safeguarding Statement

Mayfield United's Child Safeguarding Statement has been developed in line with statutory requirements outlined by the Children's First Act 2015 and Football Association of Ireland (FAI). You can view it here.

Risk Assessment

Our 2022 Risk Assessment has been completed. The assessment has been conducted in line with the Children's First Act 2015. You can view it here.
